Director of Mazovian Unit of EU Programmes Implementation
Mariusz Frankowski is a graduate of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (political science, specialization: international relations) and the University of Warsaw (degree in management, specialization: public manager). He also completed postgraduate studies (specialization: innovation manager) at the Warsaw School of Economics in cooperation with Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in Chicago.
Before being appointed the Director of MJWPU (Mazovian Unit for Implementation of EU Programmes) in 2012 Mr Frankowski held a position of Deputy Director of the Department of Strategy and Regional Development at the Marshal Office of the Mazovian Voivodeship. He was responsible for project management and implementation of the Regional Innovation Strategy for Mazovia and cooperation with entrepreneurs and scientists. He was also in charge of overseeing the implementation of the Regional Operational Programme for Mazovian Voivodeship 2007-2013. In his career Mr Frankowski has been interested in EU issues mainly in the context of regional policy and Structural Funds. He is the author or co-author of numerous publications, lectures and training materials on use of European funds as well as management and implementation of European programmes in Poland and in the Mazovia Region. He also participated in the MTEC Structural Funds Training organized by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
